A Wake-Up Call!
There's nothing like the bright light of publicity shining in your eyes to wake you up.
In this case, since I've only posted once in the past year(!) -- I was surprised to see that this blog had been randomly chosen as a feature at San Diego Blogger.
So, thinking that might attract people to click on my link, I thought it time to either give up, or to get back in action. My choice must seem obvious by now.
Why did I stop (pause)? Not because I lost my sense of outrage. Simply, lack of readership and feedback and more pressing things happening in life.
Why start again? For one thing, we approach another General Election, and this should be historic since the last two were totally subverted and the American people were cheated of their right to choose their own leaders.
As a result, we've lost many of our Constitutional rights, our country has been plunged into costly, unnecessary military excursions, our treasury has been plundered by privateers to the point of bankruptcy, our Supreme Court has been packed with political operatives that do things like redefine Eminent Domain to mean that honest home-owners can be evicted so their land can be sold to strip mall developers and used-car lots.
Did the tide turn during mid-term elections? A new political party is now in the majority in the two houses of congress. But is that a change? We haven't seen anything substantial. The people who finance campaigns are the same for the Democrats as the Republicans. The two parties have different names -- but that's about the only difference.
So this blog is back, at least for a while. We will try to illuminate the things that should outrage the common citizen. One year until the next elections, and the question remains, "Will there actually be any change?"
