How Does A Conservative Know How To Vote?

Until recently, there were die-hard supporters of John McCain for president. Then there were die-hard supporters of Mitt Romney for president. And never the twain would meet.

If you suggested a Romney supporter should vote for McCain, some 2nd ammendment enthusiast would likely plug you with his legal sporting firearm.

So what happened? According to the Boston Globe:
at the crucial do-or-die moment of the 2008 campaign, McCain unleashed one of the most dubious negative ads of this political season, helping to bury his chief rival Mitt Romney.
Then, as if the 280 Romney delegates were just sheep -- they were urged to shift their allegience to the enemy -- McCain!

Does politics make sense? Of course not. As long as people regard political races as sporting events and they don't realize the ramifications of their choices, we can expect they type of government we've been getting.
